These no-frills split-seam shorts were just starting to get serious about cross-country in high school. These Asics are what we in the military call "Ranger" Panties'. They're made of a thicker, tighter mesh fabric with a thick lining. Not suited to the humid climate of southern Georgia, but probably fine in northern Arizona. They're not flashy, not the latest fiber technology, but for the price (and considering that you'll sweat them up the ass) they should be fine.
