I installed a total of 3 dog doors and 2 of them were this model (Endura damper). I switched from my original dog door to an Endura flap as the door was moved from a covered patio to a wall that wasn't protected from the weather. I live in Phoenix and needed a door that would not let in the heat and would not get damaged in the scorching sun. The dual valve does not disappoint. I have 3 dogs ranging in weight from 15 to 50 pounds and use a medium door (8x14). None of my dogs have problems with it. The magnets hold up really well in the monsoons but my smallest dog can easily get out. I've never had a problem with water and the door is on an outside wall with absolutely no cover. Another amazing thing about this door is that both of the houses I've installed it on had a 2x6 frame with 3/4 drywall and the plaster and tunnel had no issues with the inside of the wall. Pretty easy to install, just needed my husband as a spare hand, but other than that I was able to do it myself.
