You'll need to make the cylindrical metal handle that fits the back of the cabinet door a little tighter on the flat sides. This allows too much "sludge" in the cylinder. I had to use a long locking tab on my closet. Due to the weight of the tongue, the lock appears to "sag" in the closed position. It should be in the 90 degree position, but closer to 95 degrees. In general, it does not interfere with locking or unlocking the cabinet. Also note that you will need to purchase a corner latch to mount on the inside at the top or bottom of the adjacent door so someone can't just pull hard to open it. See second photo.
