remote control worked as soon as two AA batteries were put in. No additional setup or adjustment was required. It worked remotely. I was limited to 10 feet by the size of the room. The TV menu was fully functional. Every setup and configuration option worked and was saved. Toshiba's 111-page manual fully describes the TV's capabilities. It also worked with HDMI 2 Q. I noticed a slight ringing from the TV. The internal LCD of the laptop is set to 1600 x 900 (width x height) by the laptop driver. The dimensions of the 32L1400U external display were automatically set to 1920 x 1080 (width x height) when connected. The 1600 x 900 notebook display dimensions are not available on a TV with an automatically installed display driver. I'm looking for better display drivers. The advantage of the laptop is two different graphics controllers. A mid-range Intel processor called the Intel HD Graphics Family. The second is ATI Radeon Graphics 6490M. Both work with 32L1400U.
