Review on Sturdy Hardwood Thread Rack - Holds 60 Spools & Mini-King Size Cones For Sewing, Embroidery, Quilting & More! by Eduardo Long

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Thread rack.exactly what I needed

For wall mounting - Remove the legs, use them as horizontal cross pieces as they are long enough to span the wall studs. Screw the cross pieces horizontally and spaced vertically to allow the thread rack to be screwed to the cross pieces between the spool racks. Add four screws and ta-da! Worked very well, used all the material, added four screws. I didn't give them a five because they could improve the design for wall mounting. Either put wall hangers on the back of the vertical uprights OR space the uprights at 16" on center to allow the rack to be secured to wall studs.I have pictures and will add them if I can figure out how. I ordered one, then found out I have quite a bit more thread than 120 so I ordered a second one! Have some room to grow now. :)

Pros
  • Keeps thread organized and easily accessible for sewing, embroidery, quilting, and more
Cons
  • The wood may stain or absorb dye if thread is stored on it for too long
