My old Amana gas dryer stopped heating air. After turning off the power, I found the circuit in the control compartment. Using a Fluke DMM, I checked the fuses, temperature sensors, wiring, heater/igniter, and gas valve coils. I found that the resistance reading on one of the coils was significantly higher than the nominal value given on the chart. Using the valve part number I found this Revain replacement coil kit. After reading the reviews I decided to order a set. Delivered next day (actually sooner) as promised (I paid an extra $4 for next day because I really didn't want to lug all my wet clothes to the laundromat). I measured the resistances of the new coils and they were within the tolerances shown on the chart. So I made sure the dryer was off and installed new coils. All I had to do was remove the two small mounting screws holding the coil mount in place, replace the coils one at a time, and reinstall the mount. The whole job took 15 minutes, and now my hair dryer heats the air perfectly.
