None of the dolls are marked with the country of origin. I have some very nice nesting dolls made in Russia and some made in China. I have had bad experience with Chinese made nesting dolls claiming to be real Russian and they are very low quality like the Chinese made dolls rather than high quality dolls if they are made in Russia. They do not indicate the country of origin, as should be the case for all imported goods. Some had to remove the wooden hump on the bottom so they could stand on the table. Most are just really ugly, one has shiny paint, and most of the little ones are painted very badly too. They are much smaller than most, with the smallest being the size of a gummy bean. I can't imagine anyone giving them to a child, but they're not good for collectors either.
