This is a great habitat for large creatures and bugs. It's strong and sturdy, but if you need to feed fruit flies or other small bugs, they'll crawl out through the holes. We got this for a baby mantis that has worked great as it has outgrown its smaller habitat. We were glad to move on to this palace, but after seeding the wingless fruit flies we quickly found that the air holes at the top and possibly elsewhere were large enough to let them out. The once perfect mantis palace has turned into a fruit fly nightmare. The painters covered the holes with tape to hold them in place, but I'm pretty sure that killed the praying mantis. crap around. Now I have a new living space and nothing to put in it.
