My device arrived on 08/31/2020. I didn't have the most common issue complained about here: the English menu. Information about the box in English. What literature is there in English? The device comes with sport firmware version V16.03.09.04_multi but offers to update it to version V16.03.09.05(5550). I'll take care of it, but not tonight. Setup is very easy. The menus aren't as robust as the Asus RT-AC, but are more than adequate. I like the unit. The 2.4GHz band is strong as a bull. I'm playing around with my devices to see how beamforming improves the farthest ones. I have three Rokus in the same direction from the block. The farthest from the router has never been reliable at 5GHz. When I first plugged it in, Roku said the connection was "honest". After streaming all three Rokus for an hour, the farthest one still reports "fair," so I may have to play with antenna placement. There was no buffering even at the far end, so the signal improved significantly. I should mention that I'm replacing a bloody fancy Asus RT-AC88U. The menu is a culture shock - Asus had dozens, not hundreds, of small tweaks you can make. I found this overwhelming and I'm a network engineer. I can only imagine the average user trying to figure out the advanced settings of this router. last thought I have attached tall rubber feet to the bottom of this router. In my experience, heat is the number one cause of router failures and lightning is the number one, so that's how I maximized airflow under the device. I recommend everyone to maximize airflow under these devices. We're using faster and faster processors and chipsets in these things, and that gives more speed. More warmth.
