My daughter loves this chair! She kisses the bear every day, hides behind him and plays hide and seek. It's foam, which can bend him if he comes up from behind and lays on it. It is not durable, nor is it secure unless used solely for sitting (or hiding behind). One day my daughter was trying to stand on it, she was kneeling on a chair face back (bear face) and holding bear ears with her hands and as she tried to hold on to stand by shifting her weight forward, she fell from above; She didn't hurt herself and she understands pretty well what she can do and feels safe or not so she never did it again. There are other chairs that are more durable with a wooden frame, they are sturdier and safer when baby stands on them or uses them as a stool to gain height. This is a great chair and should be used as such. You know your kid, so be aware of this minimal mistake.
