Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Efficiently Access Your Hood with the Dorman 912-030 Hood Release Cable by Rob Dixon

hardly worked with manual trimming and not on special.

Adjustment cable too short. While the overall cable length was adequate on the driver's side, it was sufficient on the passenger's side. I was able to route the cable, but the threaded plastic adjustment sleeve didn't have enough travel. I had to cut the threaded end on the cable jacket about an inch to allow the adjustment sleeve to retract far enough to slip into the clamp, and then the cable end snapped into the drive. I've read many similar stories on various forums, but since I had a cable and was confident in cutting the end I let it go. Trimming the end was non-trivial. Because you have to slowly cut the threaded end without cutting the strands of the cable.
