I used a Definitive Technology ProCenter 1000 speaker until I bought the 9060, along with DT Promonitor 1000 front speakers, a ProMonitor 800 surround speaker and a SuperCube 2000 subwoofer. (Other speakers are perfect for my needs; the DT speakers produce a surprisingly full sound for their size, and my wife appreciates their attractive and relatively small size.) Manually adjusting the receiver's equalizer, as I've done in the past. And adds richness to the music. I turned the volume up to 9060 for movies and turned it down for music like you would any hub. My Denon receiver has preselections, so all settings for every listening purpose can be called up at the touch of a button. I'm glad I used the subwoofer in the 9060, even with my SuperCube - the two subwoofers work together to balance deep bass for a very smooth and pleasing result. I had to fine-tune the volume of both subwoofers and reduce their overall volume to two subwoofers, as expected. Couldn't be happier with this choice!
