Used to connect a 4K monitor to my Lorex NVR with 4K HDMI output. I initially had trouble trying to connect the units together when running them through a PoE switch on their own VLAN. After several attempts through the switch, I connected them directly together using a single CAT6 cable and the included power supplies and they connected quickly. I then moved them back to the PoE switch on the isolated VLAN and they were able to connect with no problem. In the last few weeks it has been running reliably and without any failures. ADVICE FOR PROFESSIONALS. You should really connect them to each box with separate dedicated Ethernet cables. Don't share cable bandwidth with other computers, etc. Why? Because these boxes use about 800Mbps of bandwidth at 4K 30fps. 1080p doesn't reduce bandwidth much (uses 650-700 Mbps).
