Great for 4K security cameras

I had several 1080p HDMI to Ethernet adapters to stream video from my NVR security camera (in the network closet in the basement) upstairs to my TV in the send living room. When the station suddenly died, I bought these blocks to replace the dead ones. I can see my 4K cameras much more clearly. The quality is amazing and there doesn't seem to be any lag or cracking. Also, if I need to pull the video, I can plug the USB dongle right here and don't have to go down to the basement. I may have to…

Pros
  • Full speed USB 2.0 extender
Cons
  • Requires a power outlet

Is working! EDIT: doesn't work anymore! No product support

When I was finishing up my garage, I ran Ethernet from my media center to my TV spot. What I didn't run was HDMI. This solved that problem. Now I can control and view my computer from my garage. So far, my only disappointment has been that when I tried to add a network switch and start another network device, the other device (the camera) didn't work. It could be because I don't know how to set it up, or it could be because the system just can't transmit network data over video. But whatever…

Pros
  • Good compatibility
Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something

Works as intended. No complaints.

I have a device that is connected to a server in a closet. This device is connected to the network. Then, on the other side of the facility, 3 network switches away, the receiving end is connected to a monitor, keyboard and mouse. Now I can control the remote server. Screen refresh is decent enough to work without animation. Haven't tried stress testing yet - it's not really necessary. It's also POE, so I didn't have to use the included power adapter. Very soft. Order a second set to use…

It totally WORKS! Use dedicated Ethernet cables.

Used to connect a 4K monitor to my Lorex NVR with 4K HDMI output. I initially had trouble trying to connect the units together when running them through a PoE switch on their own VLAN. After several attempts through the switch, I connected them directly together using a single CAT6 cable and the included power supplies and they connected quickly. I then moved them back to the PoE switch on the isolated VLAN and they were able to connect with no problem. In the last few weeks it has been running

Pros
  • External components
Cons
  • Slightly torn
