Non-contact voltage was a joke

One of the main reasons I bought this device was the non-contact voltage detection but it didn't work. To be honest, he worked more like a metal detector. I could flip the switch for a specific row of outlets and make sure they were plugged off, but this meter would constantly flash a "Live" light if it stayed nearby. But even then he gave no sure testimony; You have to move the meter around the outlet and pay close attention to that little light only flashing for a split second. I returned it for a refund.

Pros
  • 9V battery test
Cons
  • The list is long.
