They are made of wood and are therefore biodegradable, so much more environmentally friendly than plastic forks. 100 spoons cost about 9 euros, which is a bit more expensive than normal plastic forks. However, a box of 100 premium plastic forks will set you back about $10, so they're competitive in comparison. They are not as deep as other disposable spoons I have used. So if you're eating soup with it, you might need a few more spoonfuls to finish the onion. These spoons are incredibly eco-friendly. They are fully biodegradable, which means they dissolve fairly quickly in nature, so they don't pollute the environment. Because of this, it's important not to just toss them in the trash. Dispose of them in the same way as lawn clippings or tree clippings. The fact that they are made entirely from sustainably sourced wood makes them more than worthy of any small difference in price in my opinion.
