Works but not as expected

I was thinking of this Audi A4 wheel brush (about 10 inches deep). Since the brush including the handle is more like a 12 or 13 inch I can't get deep enough to get all the dirt and dust off. The brush hair is not soft, so better keep away from the face or use goggles when washing the edges.
