Review on SHANY Artisan’s Easel – Elite Cosmetics Brush Collection: Complete Kabuki Makeup Brush Set with Standing Convertible Brush Holder (18 pcs) by Liana Allen

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It's my first time buying makeup brushes. my thoughts so far.

So I don't really have anything to compare it to, but looks like you can get 18 brushes for $30. While they aren't great or fantastic, from what I've seen in stores recently, buying each brush individually will cost more in the long run, especially since many of the larger brushes look like they cost $5 or more each . . Not to mention spending time looking for every brush in this set. Time is money. So if they last a year or two (I have no idea how long they're supposed to last), I got a good deal for $30 since it was just a few clicks away and delivered the next day via Prime. On the other hand, after spending five minutes studying this kit, I found a few things that bothered me. After each brush is removed from the easel, taken out of the bag, and placed in its original place on the easel, the last two brushes, the smallest, slide out when the easel is placed upright. The elastic material is not small enough to hold the brush unless it is in a plastic bag. The second thing that confuses me a bit is that there is no way to keep the easel upright. The review video I watched had a spike or elastic cord between the holes at the top and bottom so it would stay upright when you tugged on the small cord lock. Well, mine doesn't have a cable. I can make my own, but that's not the point. It is sold as an easel, but this easel does not work. Good thing I don't have that chemical smell that some others have complained about. In general, I'm sure there are better quality brushes out there. market, but for a first-time makeup brush buyer who doesn't even know how to apply makeup well, I think it's a steal at $30.
