So I bought this to fix the rear main seal. I originally received a kit with this copper/aluminum gasket with black silicone as shown in the photos. I had to return this set as the seal was broken. They sent me another bs40640 kit, also branded fel-pro. However, it was a steel gasket with blue silicone. Disappointed because I didn't know if these parts were original, I went to the dealer to buy them. They wanted $80 for the gasket alone and it looked EXACTLY copper/aluminum with black silicone. I then went by the Autozone to look at the same kit and they had the blue silicone. The circular seal on both sets looked exactly the same. There seem to be two companies that make these pads for Felpro, so they're both "authentic". I would have preferred an aluminium/copper color as the original that came out of the car was also aluminium. The steel had a slightly poorer fit. As a result, I put blue and initially no leaks. Bad update on durability as I only installed for about two weeks.
