Update 08/24/2021 - Polyurethane replacement filters are not available from this date. Original review Not as good as the original PU hard cap filter jug, but better than the new style. You can tell the difference in the grip - this (older) style has a two tone grip while the newer ones have a single color grip. My original had a separate handle after years of use (yes the bulb died after 4 or 5 years of use) - but calendar stickers work just as well and come with each filter. My old version was 7 cup and this 11 cup version is heavier (damn it!) but that's not a problem - it's just a little more difficult to manage. Also, it takes up a little more counter space. No, these aren't the fastest filters in the world, and they're not as slow as Zero or some others. I said I liked the solid top better (the old one) - but if you don't pour from it immediately after pouring then that's not a problem. So pour then fill. The light didn't work properly the first 2 times I pressed and held it - then it started working - I hope it continues to work like the old style I had for many years. I had one of the new 7 cups and the lighting function died after a month. Also, it was almost impossible to pour from as it had a valve next to the spout, which this device doesn't have.
