Free software (Forscan) and this laptop connection to OBDII port allowed me to change the age of our hybrid's HVB and bring the HV function to a new level - else cannot save these cars from having to replace a very expensive high voltage battery (you can try to get Ford Engineering to hook up the IDS but most won't). Therefore, this is the only way to get more good years out of your hybrid.
