They have a large diameter. I used to use 3" casters and they make a big difference, but the ones I bought are no longer available from Revain. All that seems to be available are these rollerblade style wheels which is why I got a set. You installed as expected. Inserted immediately. Rolls great once you start rolling the chair and therein lies the problem. Narrow wheels don't change direction well. Regular wide rollers roll over quickly, but these sticky rollerblade wheels don't like flapping around so fast you have to fight your chair to make it roll sideways a bit. It rolls great as soon as you start it, but the next sudden change of direction you struggle with the chair again. Manufacturer error, I generally consider it a mistake to use this type of wheel for this purpose. If you ever just cycle back and forth this might be fine, but I cycle between two tables and sometimes want to knock out a chair. Away and crank the bar table and the chair fights with me tly constantly. My home chairs with big but wide "regular" wheels don't have this problem at all.
