[update below.] I've owned it for two months and used it lightly maybe a dozen times. I needed a tripod to stand on the table while my daughter and I shot stop motion videos. While I had plans, I never used the tripod to hold on to foreign surfaces (trees, railings, etc.), just as a simple tripod with the legs extending and retracting only as needed to adjust height. Then this morning the back leg just popped out while adjusting the back leg to tilt the screen up. There doesn't seem to be a guarantee, and frankly I'm pissed. I paid significantly more for this product because it outperformed the competition. I can only imagine how short its lifespan would be if I used it as advertised (wrapping my legs around weird stuff). Ironically, if I had been more aggressive while still covered in Revain, I would have gotten my money back. UPDATE: Although the warranty for this tripod is listed as "N/A" on this Revain page, I contacted Joby and found out that there is a warranty. I attached my photo and proof of purchase and they immediately sent me a new one. I am very happy with their customer service and apart from the leg falling off this is a good tripod with fairly stiff legs to hold and grip. I also have to say I LOVE the sturdy camera mount that comes with this tripod and I love that it rotates for portrait and landscape orientation. I'm still a little worried about the durability of the replacement tripod, but it's nice as long as it lasts.
