This item works as advertised - the Gorillapod allows you to place it in almost any configuration you want. If you're trying to take a horizontal shot, there's too much room to pose - it's best to use a standard tripod here. The clip that holds your phone is very firm when you first pick it up. Don't be afraid to push hard to open it. The clip also blocks most of the screen, making it difficult to focus.

I purchased a lightbox and it was a product featured in a number of videos I watched. It is very easy to use and durable. The only complaint is that the slider for holding the phone is very stiff when first used. I was afraid to pull and didn't want to break it right out of the box. As soon as I pulled a little harder, it slipped off. The perfect way to stay still and not whip out a professional camera. I have quite a few different cell phones. I had a Google Pixel 3 and it fit well and snugly.

This flexible, articulated tripod is great for capturing photos and videos from unusual angles! I used it for FaceTime calls all the time. Being able to move your tripod to find the best angle helps you be more comfortable in video chat. As good as it is for photography, I think the ability to set up a video call from almost any angle on any surface makes it more useful than any other phone accessory I've owned. What a great little tripod. This is ideal for adventurers on the go. I bought this little tripod to keep my smartphone moving while taking pictures. Holding your phone and taking photos can be quite tricky at times, so this little guy is great for that purpose. [update below.] I've owned it for two months and used it lightly maybe a dozen times. I needed a tripod to stand on the table while my daughter and I shot stop motion videos. While I had plans, I never used the tripod to hold on to foreign surfaces (trees, railings, etc.), just as a simple tripod with the legs extending and retracting only as needed to adjust height.
