Polarity is not important for these new LED lights but the connector pins on the light are slightly thinner than the OEM and will likely need to shrink the side sockets of the clock face closer together. The release tab on the side of the puddle light will not snap in and out of the side mirror without modifying the release tab. I had to use a hand file to widen the gap between the tab and the hood flange to eliminate the thickness of the side mirror plastic. In addition to modifications to ensure the lights won't fall out (use a small flat head to gently push the light back out) because of improper installation or popping out while driving, off-road or in a car wash. The light is very bright and looks great, so far I like the product for the price but wouldn't mind a painless installation.
