I'm a welding student and my school doesn't supply us with tungsten so most of us got that grade from Revain. The school let us use some short piece of shit for our first grade, but we had to have our own as soon as possible. (Delivered by a Prime student who delivered it to me just in time for my next class!) No complaints about Midwestern tungsten from me or my classmates. As I'm taking my first TIG course I don't have a lot to compare but I've asked some of the more experienced students and they really like this brand compared to others they've tried. I bought them on the recommendation of my teacher and other classmates and they got great reviews here too. Perfect average price as I still fall a lot! As I hone my skills, I notice that the arc starts easily and can withstand the abuse I give them. They are MUCH better than the random brand the school loaned us on our first day of class! I will continue shopping in the Midwest and so will my classmates. As other reviewers have said; The paint on top is too thick to insert into the burner without inserting it from the back. I just cleared the excess on my bank and that fixed the problem. Only enough color has been removed to make it easy to serve and you can still see what color it is.
