Setting up is very simple, just plug in the supplied HDMI cable (nice bonus) and connect directly to the Wii and cable to the TV. Boom, it works! We can now use the Wii on new TVs that don't have component or AV cables. I find it actually works better than the component cable I used before. For some reason, Gamecube HDMI adapters are way more expensive. The Wii plays GC games, so this works great. Don't let modern game consoles spoil you! This won't play your games at 1080p, but the picture quality is good! I didn't notice any artifacts or flickering from the hours I spent playing Super Mario Sunshine.
