I made these for my Jane Austen research group at a public library that allows meals in conference rooms. I filled them about ⅔ full with nice apple chips (recipe from KingArthurFlour.com). When they were ready to serve, I topped them with a whipped cream mixture that I kept in a cold drink bag. They looked great and I got a lot of compliments. Any ice cream or custard dessert will do. I also think you could put some cookies in the mug, add a 4" x 9" plastic bag and tie a bow on it as a gift. I particularly liked the color and thickness of the containers.
