This thing does the job for a good price. This makes it easier to transfer my kombucha into bottles. However, it cannot be completely disassembled for a good cleaning, and it is not designed for heavy use. Kombucha is hygienically easy to handle. Other liquids (e.g. beer) are not so gentle. Whatever you pour, I highly recommend cleaning them immediately after use. This can help keep material from drying out in nooks and crannies and creating problems for future batches. It's not hard, so it works for me as a home brewer who takes care of his equipment. For the price you can try it to make sure it's the tool you need. If it holds up, great. If it doesn't last and you find it useful, you know you need something more permanent. After all, it's mini, so only 13 inches long. Again perfect for my needs but some people may need a longer version for deeper vessels.
