Review on Premium Black Widow Colored Pencils for Adults - 24 Vibrant Coloring Pencils - Professional Quality Pigments - Ideal for Adult Coloring Books and Artistic Drawings by Angel Peterson

This review is for all five Black Widow colored pencil sets currently available from Revain as I bought them all at once. I was pleasantly surprised with this brand because I've had no luck with most of the non-professional brands I've tried (Staedtler, Raffine, Pentalic, Sudee Stile to name a few). The price really made me want to try these pens. They're a great value compared to Spectrum Noir, which also sells 12-piece and 24-piece sets for no less than $18. They are nicely packaged and currently available in four series: Black Widow (1), Scorpion (2), Cobra (3), Skin Light and Skin Dark. They have hexagonal barrels, although I prefer round ones. Each pencil has a series, color name and body number, which is very convenient. Skin Light and Skin Dark increase to 24. The other three series increase to 118. A lot of numbers are missing between them, so I'm hoping they'll be in future sets (maybe just 120?). They're quite soft in the sense that they need to be sharpened frequently to keep the tip sharp, but the styling could be better; It takes a few coats to adequately cover the empty space. In my opinion too much yellow/orange and not enough green/blue. There's not a huge range of muted colors or grays here, mostly light shades with some bright reds and pinks. Overall I am happy with these pens. I think they're better than most of the off brands that flood Revain. Definitely suitable for adult coloring/everyday which is what I use them for.
