I'm new to routers but have tried a few budget bit models. So far I've only worked with new pine, cedar and an old hardened vintage pine door. Cheaper cutters leave cut edges. This bit leaves smooth, clean, almost finished edges. I was able to easily remove 0.25" in one pass. There were even very small old trim nails that I couldn't get out of my door. He chewed them through effortlessly, hating doing it with blades. but they handled it.
