A one year old likes it but the magnets are very weak
Probably on purpose so it would be easy for a small child to separate the pieces, the magnets are very weak. Don't expect to build a large structure with this - most structures are too weak to lift. But it's still a great toy for my 1 year old. Mine loves gluing the pieces together and claps his hands while doing it, so I still think it's worth it. The bars also stick to our fridge. For an older child who wants to build something I would find another item.
