Works as it should. Too bad you have to update (I also had a bootloader error). Unfortunately Celestron chose to put the phone cord connector on the hand control so you'll need to buy it for the serial connection and then the serial port for USB. You have to turn it into a telescope. However, I also had to purchase a TRENDnet to USB 1.1 serial cable. With the Celestron update software, you can update it in a relatively short time (10 minutes). The TRENDnet cable is female, so it fits this cable even though it doesn't look like it. It's been working fine ever since, but I still recommend taking both cables and the laptop with you in case the bootloader issue reoccurs, as it happened to me randomly and I expect it to happen again randomly. Celestron, put the USB in there. Also remember that you need to update the HAND CONTROL, not the mount. And it's too expensive because few people make the same product. Not worth the amount but it is necessary.
