I wanted an inexpensive bike alarm and first bought the Leegoal Motorbike Alarm Security bike lock sold at Revain. Worked well and the price is right. The problem is I don't like having a lot of junk on my bike and the Leegoal alarm is installed under the bike seat so I don't have space for my bike bag. So I bought this item (I missed it the first time thinking it was just a horn) and put it where my warning bell was. I then removed the Leegoal Alarm and attached the pannier. This device is louder than the Leegoal alarm and more sensitive (in a good way). I didn't like the remote button (you can beep by pressing one of the buttons on the unit) so I cut the wire going to the button and threw it away. Easy to program password and easy to switch to alarm mode. My only complaint is that the batteries are VERY difficult to replace. To do this, remove the device from the steering wheel. I have to believe this is intentional otherwise a thief could easily remove the batteries. It may still be easier to replace once the device has been removed. Great anti-theft protection for the budding hobbyist or the average punk. I liked it so much that I bought a second one for my wife's bike.
