I got this for my 10 gallon glass tank to ensure the heater I bought would keep the water at the right temperature during this cold winter. It was easy to install, just remove the glue and stick it on the glass (below the water level). I put it in front of the heater to make sure the water in the tank was the right temperature. This (like most thermometer stickers) is a baseline value that gives an estimate based on the colors on the temperature sticker. I wanted this as I don't like big floating or sticky thermometers that float in water as they are bulky and don't look good. It sticks out on the side in a corner and is not noticeable. I occasionally take a look to see if the water temp is in the high to mid 70's which is easy to tell by this one. Finally it is exactly what I wanted and fits my tank perfectly!
