this is a broken thread

I ordered these STRETCH twin needles and couldn't get a decent stitch. I spent an hour threading and rethreading my Bernina machine to get a decent stitch - the stitch was too small and the tension was too tight and the thread kept breaking. I used a Schmetz stretch needle (wider than I wanted) and it sewed nicely. I don't know, the problem is that my machine isn't listed or the needle isn't very strong. but i wouldn't waste your time and $,
