I bought these as stockings for my college kids. They are learning to cook for themselves and this is perfect for them to check the temperature of their meat. They were all so happy to get one, I think it's hard for them to tell if their meat was fully cooked. So I recommend for young chefs! I have a much fancier thermometer, but beginning cooks really want something simple and easy to use, and it covers that at an amazing price.
