Let me start by saying that I read the reviews on this product and was a little hesitant to buy it after seeing one that broke after a very short time. I think what happened to this man was he ripped the tape off the back of the tank panel. I did notice that the glue wanted to pull up in one spot as the foil covering the glue is a very thin red plastic. In order to separate the red plastic from the adhesive, you had to be a bit careful and not just tear it off. I also cleaned the surface it will be applied to. It's been running for me for 3 months with no problems. It matches the tank perfectly and I have found that I feel more confident leaning back off the bike in corners which has increased my cornering speed by around 5-7 mph. They have great inner thigh grip and I have recommended them to people I ride with regularly who have also been happy with these tank grips. When you're airborne on them, grab them, clean the area of the tank they go to, and be careful when you rub the red film off the glue, and you're done.
