"Small" isn't always small enough, but it is! A very older 7lb medium haired Chi who has problems with his hind foot when walking on slippery floors due to kidney problems (I don't know why this connection but I've seen it happen to my pug before, now on a bridge) . These socks are perfect for her long thin fingers and chicken feet! I don't know how their paws get warm, but they are "well skinny" and hold up! She doesn't seem to mind either. (I only use two for the back legs; I don't know if she would mind carrying all four, but she doesn't need all four.) I find it easier to have a few more helping hands to put on. one pair for toe stretching (very easy) and one pair for toe locking. It can work with one person depending on how much your baby moves. The toes aren't too narrow for the paws either. I love her!
