This light works "too well". I bought it to light up the stairs to our basement. It's blindingly bright, so bright we had to cover it with paper to diffuse the light. The motion detector is super sensitive, so it works even with the basement door three-quarters closed if someone even enters the next room. That's in daylight. At night it turned on and off almost constantly and used up expensive D-type batteries ($20 for 8). My wife hates this. I take it off and put it in our shed. Now I'm looking for an indicator light without movement.
