Review on Dritz 270 Hummingbird Needle Threader: Enhance Your Needlework with Efficient Threading by Kristen Simpson

Suitable for the smallest unnecessary things

This is really a great tool. This even works on my smallest mods (size 10 or 11). It fits with a little space, but of course the Mad Hatter's eyes are narrower, so it should go with almost anything. The nice thing is that the part that goes through the eyelet isn't thin wire like most needle threaders. It's a flat, thin bar with a SMALL hook attached to it. Much more serious than wire. I LOVE that the duck's beak curls down to protect it. It somehow locks in place so it doesn't dangle or fall down when the duck is turned upside down. I also like that the tail has a lanyard hole. I have a key ring on the end of the retractable strap and it barely fits, but it does. The only thing I don't like, and that's why I deducted one star, is that it's very small overall. I was expecting it to be a bit bigger. So it's smaller than my lanyard clip. It weighs part of my shoelace. It's a solid plastic body, but it still feels very small. Maybe a quarter size (in rough diameter, not thickness. It's quite thick, probably around 5/8 inch). That being said, it's small enough that I can also use it to cut my car if I need to. It's a little pricey for the size, but it has a great design. i really like him I just would have liked it more if it was big enough that it didn't need a strap to keep it from getting lost.

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • disappears

Save your money. Serves no purpose. Breaks just like the $1 ones found in a craft or fabric store.
