Embroidery thread is not good. The gap is too far forward. DOS does not grip food well enough to pull it through the eye of a needle. Use original needle threaders, they are cheaper to replace.

It's nice, but it's more advertising than functionality. The groove into which the thread is inserted is very microscopic. So if you get that because it's hard to see how to thread a needle, pinch me, it's a lot harder to see that groove; Using your touch to feel and find the groove is the only sense you can use when doing this. This is really a great tool. This even works on my smallest mods (size 10 or 11). It fits with a little space, but of course the Mad Hatter's eyes are narrower, so it should go with almost anything. The nice thing is that the part that goes through the eyelet isn't thin wire like most needle threaders. It's a flat, thin bar with a SMALL hook attached to it. Much more serious than wire.
