I bought this humidifier to replace the old one and was very satisfied. It looks very nice and I love the fact that it has two water compartments that can be filled one at a time. I rinse them out with vinegar and water about every second, and there's an antimicrobial aquastick in each compartment. The device is very quiet and keeps our very dry living room at a comfortable 65% humidity. There are various settings for adjusting the humidity, which are easy to adjust. There's a button to turn on a glowing ring around the nighttime humidity setting, and you can even make the mist warm if you like. This is the best humidifier I've had in terms of ease of use, cleaning, and effectiveness.
