Working from home due to Covid-19, I became increasingly annoyed with all the loud flashing devices I kept on my desk. I managed to move most of the network junk, but one of my backup devices, Drobo, was USB/FireWire. I looked at the FireWire expansion options but they were ridiculously expensive for the old technology. Drobo isn't very fast, so I decided to use this USB 2.0 extender. I have two 50 foot ethernet cables running from my desk. One for the network and one for the USB extension cable. The Ezcoo extension had solid metal construction and was easy to install. It works so well that I've added a non-powered USB drive and 2 of the 4 USB ports are free and I'm planning to add another external hard drive. I didn't find any problems with speed, transfer or desktop backup. Worth the money +$10 for a 50ft cat cord.
