Review on πŸ”Œ Enhanced PCIe USB 3.2 Gen 2 Host Adapter with Dual Type-C Ports - Rosewill RC-20003 by Jeff Prabhu

Works but prevents shutdown and generates lots of EFI

It works as a USB3.0 adapter and gave me much faster I/O to an external USB3.0 SSD. However, I gave up because of three major problems: 1. After it was installed, my computer wouldn't turn off. If you initiate the shutdown via the OS or even with the power button in the BIOS or during POST, it just reboots every time. Tried different PCIe slots, no change. I tried a few other random PCIe cards on the same computer to make sure it wasn't a problem with my computer and no other cards were causing problems. 2. This is probably related to #1, but once the card was installed, using an additional video adapter (PCIe Nvidia Geforce) I was unable to see my computer POST or associated boot screens. Deleted card and everything was ok again.3. This card seems to generate a lot of EFI. As soon as you turn on the computer it's installed on, nearby wireless electronics start behaving strangely. For example Bluetooth devices and a wireless USB mouse, all of which seem to be having random connection issues. I removed the card and all those problems were gone, reinstalled and everything reappeared. Very annoying!
