After watching a YouTube video about installing a new screen I decided to give it a try as it looked very doable and could potentially save me $300. So I found this screen, which bothered me a little since it wasn't an Apple product, but also because it wasn't $500! As it was top notch I knew I wouldn't risk it if it didn't work as advertised so I ordered it. On receipt I found that it was very well packaged to avoid damage in transit. He was in pristine condition. After ordering the right tools from Revain as well (which I also highly recommend; https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07ZB7FMLB?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title), I proceeded to swap out the screen. With no distractions, this should take a moderately mechanical person 30 minutes or less. As soon as I put the computer back together, the screen lit up and looked amazing! Now I just hope this one lasts longer than the original Apple screen. The screen appears to be a quality product - everything fits perfectly and the colour/graphics look like a factory screen, at least to me. It's worth saving a significant amount of money, either outsourcing the repair to someone else, or avoiding buying a brand new computer. Try it first!
