Bought to replace a similar Casablanca switch that broke. It comes with a ground wire. Pros: 1. The dimmer makes a nice clear click when you turn the light off, letting you know it's really off. The old switch didn't have this function and sometimes we accidentally left the ceiling light dimly lit.2. Perfect replacement for Casablanca dual slide switch with three speed settings: low, medium and high.3. Easy installation. Disadvantages: 1. Like similar switches, it takes up a lot of space in the control box. Pushing cables through and switching back again was a challenge for us. We have one of the old style boxes that is tapered.2. The wires are stranded, not solid. Tips: 1. If you have a crowded box like ours and it's difficult to get to the ground wires, use the ground clip on the front edge of the box to ground (assuming you have a metal box).2. There are 4 wires to connect: black (AC), green (ground), red and blue. The red and blue wires provide power to the ceiling light or fan. If your existing wires are not the same color, after disconnecting the switch or removing the fuse and connecting the new AC and ground wires, remove the nut from one of the wires to determine which is for the fan and which is for the lights is remaining wires. two connections and separate wires.
