Review on Foto&Tech Camera Lens Cap Keeper Holder with Elastic String Anti-Loss, Compatible with Canon Nikon Sony Panasonic Fujifilm Pentax Sigma DSLR SLR Evil Mirrorless Cameras Video Cameras - Pack of 3 by David Banks

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not quite right (was: So far, so good)

Ordered a set of 10 pieces. They arrived on time and look as advertised. I mounted them on three Nikon lenses: 18-105mm zoom, 55-300mm zoom, 85mm Micro Nikkor prime. They may be 1/16" wide for the flat surface of Nikon lens caps (at the end of the word "Nikon"), but the adhesive seems very strong and they bonded properly. The loop is elastic and fits snugly on all my lens bodies. So far they're working great although I haven't used them in the field yet. I expect to take lots of photos over the holidays and will edit my review if there are any issues. arise - which I really don't expect.***** Here is some new information after using the product. I downgraded my rating from 5 to 3 stars. *****After preparing the camera bag for vacation, I found that the adhesive wasn't as strong as it first seemed. The first thing that happened was that I took the camera out of my bag with the 55-300mm zoom attached and found that the tab had detached from the lens cap and was stuck to the bottom of the camera. I took it off and put the new one on the lens cap, being even more careful to get a good contact. By the way, my wife noticed while bird shooting at the beginning of the holiday that the lens cap fell to the ground. So we went to the hardware store and bought a tube of superglue. I carefully peeled off all of the original sticky adhesive and used super glue to attach the tab to the lens cap. It survived the remaining two weeks of a very intense holiday shoot (over 1,200 location shots) well. Since the only issue was the original glue, I still gave the product 3 stars because I've still used it well with superglue. .
