Not as easy as it looks on YOUTUBE

Like many others, I watched a few vinyl wrapped YouTube videos and decided I could do this with my own hands. I have some experience installing large window chains for fast food and sports venues, so some methods are applicable. The main thing I found about this brand is that it is very thick and not as pliable as the ones I saw on youtube. They are elastic and make it much easier to remove and reposition. I had trouble getting it to "glass" properly, meaning it installs and stretches without a ton of wrinkles. What I ended up doing to get a satisfactory result is what I call the wet method, where you spray the surface from a water bottle and place the vinyl on top and the water acts as a lubricant to make it easier for you to position it. Anyone who has tinted windows knows this method. Once you have the vinyl where you want it you can spray water on the outside and from the center line start compressing both the outside and bottom layers of water and the vinyl will now start to stick and air bubbles will come out to the edges. The difficulty is that most of the edges won't stick because there is still moisture in them and they want to rise. A hair dryer helps here. Start heating the edges and allow the water to evaporate as the moisture will start to evaporate from the edges and the edges will start to stick. Be patient and use the scraper to push those stubborn edges further down. . I'd like to try another brand to see if it's easier to work with, but I'm not totally against using this material again as I know how to work with it and it was cheaper than other brands.
