It is important to note that it is not possible to reliably differentiate issues that are caused by the router from those that are caused by the provider, and that the router itself does not function in a completely stable manner. It's possible that the connection was fixed while I was pushing the wire into the computer, but ever since then, if I lose Internet connectivity, the first thing I do is poke the device to see if it's a router. And that is a source of inconvenience all by itself. Some pros: A design that is laconic and attractive. Prepare and toil away for a full calendar year (for one drawback, which is discussed below) Having this drawback: It can reach dangerously high temperatures and even shut down the Internet on a few occasions each year if it gets too hot. The issue was resolved entirely by performing a restart followed by a 5-minute break. Operates continuously on the desktop.
